Jessica runs a first generation regenerative farm on 75 acres in Brewster, NY. Focusing mainly on dairy goats and pastured poultry for meat and eggs with plans to expand that livestock to include meat goats, pigs, sheep, and a dairy cow.
Leaving things better than you found it has always been an important concept to us and it doesn’t stop at the land we live on. Regenerative farming allows us to utilize the livestock and their unique abilities in a way that improves the land, not deteriorates it. Doing this allows us to raise healthy and happy livestock, making what you buy from us the very best in quality and nutrients.
We are committed to bringing you the very best products, straight from our farm to your home. We strive to build trusting relationships with others in our community and embrace the opportunity to continue to provide for your families as if they were our own.
People always ask Why Lobster? Do you sell Lobster? Sadly no, we don’t raise lobster on our very land-locked farm. Jessica spent her childhood back and forth between NY and Maine and then for some time Jessica and Andy and the children lived in Portland, Maine. Lobsters just always had a special place with us, so when it came to naming the farm Lobster Hill Farm just felt right.
Meet Jessica, the boss lady. Jessica grew up a few towns over in Carmel, NY. She never knew what she wanted to be when she grew up but she knew exactly what she didnt want. She didn’t want to sit behind a desk, in an office, day after day. Jessica earned her degrees in Human Performance and Health Promotion as well as Sports Nutrition and Fitness Management. She has worked as a personal trainer, a volleyball coach, an environmental health and safety specialist, an office administrator, and now a farmer. There isn’t anything in this world that lights her up like farming does. Her favorite animal on the farm: Sassafras
Meet Andy, Cooper, Penelope, and Milo. Some are better at their jobs than others but all play vital parts here on the farm. Everything we do is to our families standards so you can be sure what you’re giving your family is the very best. Andy is always game to build something new. Cooper is super compassionate and is the first to realize when something is off with one of the animals. Penelope loves to help in the garden. And Milo, well he’s Milo. He never stops talking, can tell you exactly how many Mangnatiles there are, and hates tomatoes with a burning passion. Their favorite animals on the farm, Andy: The Geese, Cooper: Magnolia, Penelope: “No Wattles”, Milo: Cocoa
Meet Chapel, the right hand man. Our animals and family would not be as safe as they are without this fuzzy polar bear. His instincts are spot on and he takes his job very seriously. Nothing is getting onto this farm without his knowledge and approval. Favorite animal on the farm: Guineas because they squawk when you chase them.
Meet the ladies; Sassafra, Olive, Juniper, Aspen, Lola, and Big Momma. Jessica currently milks 10 does, but there’s a total of 36 in the herd. Their favorite animal on the farm: themselves, they’re very self-absorbed.
